Welcome to Uppsala Missionskyrka

Uppsala Missionskyrka is an open and multi-activity church that wants to provide space and content about life, death and “every-thing in between”, and to be a place where everyone can find something interesting and relevant.

Besides religious services, gatherings about the Bible, Christian faith and prayer, there are also regularly cultural meetings, concerts and choirs and groups of musicians of different ages and ambitions. International work, senior gatherings, study circles, diaconal support groups, children’s activities, and meetings for students are also part of the church.

Comfort and support when everyday life is in crisis, is as well something that Uppsala Missionskyrka provides to any person that is meeting difficulties in seeing the meaning of what is happening.

You can also participate in many activities.  There are several opportunities to be a volunteer, as a church steward, in the cafe, visitor service or property maintenance, etc. and in this way also contribute to the community and make it possible for the church to be an open place on weekdays and weekends.

Uppsala Missionskyrka belongs to the nation-wide Equmeniakyrkan/Uniting Church of Sweden. Several other churches in Uppsala belong to the same national Church, such as Österledskyrkan (in Old Uppsala), Valsätrakyrkan, Baptistkyrkan, Lyckebokyrkan and Missionskyrkan in Björklinge and Skuttunge.

The Uniting Church of Sweden is a member of the World Council of Churches, the Baptist World Alliance, the World Methodist Council, the World Communion of Reformed Churches, and the European Conference of Churches.

Service in Swedish every Sunday at 11.00

Services in English are held regularly in the cathedral, Uppsala domkyrka.

The pastors and deacons of the church are available for confidential conversations.
